The synod met under Patriarch John X. Its statement lists what it had observed in the other churches and then its own grievances: that Antioch had not signed the council’s rules or the primates’ decisions of January 2016, and that its dispute with the Patriarchate of Jerusalem over jurisdiction had not been settled. It ends with three unanimous decisions.

It is the Antiochian church’s own account of why it stayed away from the council (see the Holy and Great Council of the Orthodox Church), and gives one side of the dispute with Jerusalem.
