A short news report in the magazine of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. It is cited only for its statement that the Belhar Confession is named after a suburb of Cape Town where the synod of the Dutch Reformed Mission Church met in 1982.

The item reports that the Christian Reformed Church’s synod of 2007 urged its congregations to study the Belhar Confession. In passing it explains the name: Belhar is a suburb of Cape Town, where a general synod of the Dutch Reformed Mission Church met in 1982.

It is a reporter’s text in a church magazine, written twenty-five years after that synod, and is not a statement of either church. The wiki found no document of the Dutch Reformed Mission Church itself that names the place. See Cape Town.
