The decision in which the Bulgarian synod, sitting in full, listed six reasons for asking that the council on Crete be postponed and resolved not to take part if it was not.

The text is short: a list of six considerations and two resolutions, adopted unanimously according to the document (protocol no. 12 of 1 June 2016). The considerations are the absence from the agenda of topics the synod thought important, the disagreements other churches had declared about texts already approved, the impossibility under the rules of editing texts during the council, the seating of the primates, the placing of observers and guests, and the cost of taking part.
