The commission is the official body for theological dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Oriental Orthodox churches. The report of its thirteenth meeting, held in Cairo and hosted by the Coptic Orthodox Church from 31 January to 6 February 2016, lists the member churches on the Oriental Orthodox side: the Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch, the Armenian Apostolic Church (both the Catholicosate of All Armenians and the Holy See of Cilicia), the Coptic Orthodox Church, the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church and the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church.

It is cited in this wiki only for that list, as an official statement, made jointly with those churches, of which churches the name “Oriental Orthodox” covers.
