The sections are numbered and each has a heading, written by the church, that gives its date and occasion. Section 20, known at first as the Articles and Covenants, sets out the church’s organization, its teaching and its rite of baptism, and dates the church’s rise to 6 April 1830. Section 21 was given on that day. Section 22, dated in its heading to 16 April 1830, requires the baptism of those who had been baptized elsewhere. Section 135 is the announcement of the deaths of Joseph and Hyrum Smith in 1844, and section 136 is headed as given through Brigham Young at Winter Quarters in January 1847.

The wiki cites these texts for what the church says of itself in its own documents. That the words are revelations is the church’s belief, reported as such.
