The communiqué has three short paragraphs. It announces the completion of what it calls the Unifying Council, founding the new church, and the election of Epiphanius of Kyiv; reports that he telephoned the Ecumenical Patriarch; and says that Bartholomew I invited him to concelebrate at the Phanar on the feast of Theophany and to receive the tomos. It does not say who took part in the council. See Constantinople Grants Autocephaly to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
