Billy Graham wrote the article seven years after the events it describes, for the opening number of the magazine he had helped to found. It argues that the preacher’s authority rests on Scripture, and it gives his own account of a crisis in 1949: doubts about the Bible, a decision at the Forest Home conference centre near Los Angeles to accept it by faith as the word of God, and the change this made to his preaching in the campaign that followed.

It is his own testimony, given in retrospect and in support of an argument. See Billy Graham and Postwar Evangelicalism.
