Patti Gallagher was a student at Duquesne University in 1967 and a member of the Scripture study group that made the retreat. She tells how two professors of the university had sought the “baptism in the Holy Spirit” at a prayer meeting of other Christians in January, how about twenty-five students went to the retreat house on 17 February, and what she and another student experienced in the chapel on the Saturday night. She has told the story many times, and here she tells it as a witness to the movement that grew from it. See the Charismatic Renewal.
