Philip Melanchthon1514–1560
The correspondence of Philip Melanchthon as printed in the Corpus Reformatorum. His letters from Augsburg in June 1530, written within days of the events, date the presentation of the confession.
Philip Melanchthon wrote to Martin Luther and to others from Augsburg during the diet of 1530. The second volume of the Corpus Reformatorum prints these letters in Latin, together with the reports that the envoys of Nuremberg sent home in German.
