The World Council of Churches’ own summary of the decisions of its central committee in June 2021, among them the ending of the membership of the Kimbanguist Church.
The release reports, under the heading of new members, that the central committee discontinued the membership of the Church of Jesus Christ on Earth by His Special Envoy Simon Kimbangu “for theological reasons”, after a process of suspension that began in 2016 and included consultation with the All Africa Conference of Churches and the Organization of African Instituted Churches. It does not say what the reasons were. It is cited in Simon Kimbangu and the Kimbanguist Church.
