Whitefield printed his journals in parts soon after the travels they describe. They record where he preached each day, how many he thought were present, whom he met and what he felt. The seventh part includes Boston in September and October 1740 and his visit to Northampton, where he preached for Jonathan Edwards.

The numbers are his own estimates. See the Great Awakening.
