Finding ‘A Clear Voice’: 65 Years of Christianity Today
Wheaton College Archives and Special Collections15 October 2021
The Wheaton College archives’ account of how Christianity Today was founded, written from the correspondence of Billy Graham, L. Nelson Bell and Carl Henry that the archive holds.
The article is a guide to the archive’s holdings, not one of the documents. It reports from the correspondence that the plan began in 1954 in discussions between Billy Graham and his father-in-law L. Nelson Bell, and it names the staff of the first issue, with Carl Henry as editor. See Billy Graham and Postwar Evangelicalism.
